Tectonic — Suguru puzzles · Last updated 16 August 2026
This policy explains what data the Tectonic mobile app collects, why, and what happens to it. Tectonic is developed and published by Bas Spijkerman.
What we collect ourselves
Nothing. We operate no servers, no analytics, and no accounts. We have no ability to identify you, and we receive no personal information about you.
Data stored on your device
The app saves the following locally, using your device's standard app storage. It stays on the device, is included in your own device backups if you have those enabled, and is deleted when you uninstall the app:
- Puzzle progress, completed levels, and star ratings
- Coin, diamond, and experience balances
- Your selected colour theme and other display preferences
- Whether you have purchased the ad-free version
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Tectonic displays banner ads, and optional rewarded ads that grant extra hints. These are served by Google AdMob, which acts as an independent data controller.
Tectonic requests non-personalised ads only. The app does not ask for permission to track you, does not use your device's advertising identifier for advertising purposes, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Because of this, the app does not show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt at all.
To deliver a non-personalised ad, and to prevent fraud and limit how often the same ad repeats, Google still receives limited technical data:
- IP address and coarse location derived from it
- Device model, operating system version, and language
- Ad interactions, such as which ads were shown, viewed, or tapped
Non-personalised ads are targeted using only general context, such as your approximate location and the app you are using — not your interests or past behaviour. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and described further in how Google uses data from partner apps.
Purchases
Tectonic offers one in-app purchase, which permanently removes ads. Payment is handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details, billing address, or any other payment information — the app only receives confirmation that the purchase is valid, which it stores on your device so ads stay disabled.
Children
Tectonic is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app contains third-party advertising, we recommend parental supervision for younger players.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app removes everything it has stored, including all progress and purchase records held locally. Because we hold no data about you on any server, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, or to object to its processing — for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California. As we hold no personal data ourselves, such requests generally need to be directed to Google for advertising data. You can contact us at the address below and we will help where we can.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Significant changes affecting how data is used will be noted in the app's release notes.
