How to play
Tectonic — also known as Suguru — is a logic puzzle played on a grid divided into irregularly shaped cages.
- A cage containing N cells must hold the numbers 1 to N, each exactly once.
- No two identical numbers may touch — not horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
- Every puzzle has exactly one solution, reachable by logic alone. You never need to guess.
Common questions
I bought the ad-free version but ads are still showing
Open the Shop from the main menu and use the restore option, which re-checks your purchase with the App Store. This is also what to do after reinstalling the app or moving to a new device. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account used for the original purchase.
My progress disappeared
Progress is stored on your device rather than in the cloud, so it does not follow you between devices and is lost if the app is uninstalled. Restoring the device from a backup that includes app data will also restore your puzzles.
Can I play without ads or purchases?
Yes. Every puzzle, level, and mode is available without spending anything. Rewarded ads only grant optional extra hints, and are never required to finish a level or unlock content.
Does Tectonic track me?
No. Tectonic requests non-personalised ads only, does not use your advertising identifier, and does not track you across other apps or websites — which is why you are never shown a tracking permission prompt. See the privacy policy for detail.
A puzzle looks unsolvable
Every generated puzzle is verified to have a unique solution before it is shown, so it can be solved without guessing. If you believe you have found one that genuinely cannot be solved, please email a screenshot — including the grid size and difficulty — and it will be investigated.
Reporting a bug
Helpful things to include:
- Device model and OS version
- What you were doing when it happened
- A screenshot, if the problem is visible on screen
